Designed by Norris Starkweather and constructed between 1854 and 1859, this Gothic styled church is a unique example of Victorian plasterwork. The interior ceiling is triple vaulted with ornate plaster ribs and elaborate hanging pendant bosses. Due to original distemper paint and several failed later paint campaigns, this was not just a repainting project. It required a specific historic paint methodology and surface preparation to make the paint adhere successfully.
